We had dinner here because I wanted to try the clam noodle soup. We got that and the spicy seafood ramen, and both were great. The clam soup was especially good. The broth was mildly savory and heartening, just how I expected clam soup to be. The noodles were chewy hand pulled ones. The sheer amount of clams in this bowl was amazing and I have included a picture. Completely worth the price and I will definitely be back.
Service was very attentive. The only complaint I would have is that the AC was not turned up very high when we came in, but we adjusted to the slightly warmer temperature and they eventually turned it higher. -

What I like about you: Price, portion, friendly service, taste
I saw many restaurants open and close in this spot/location without success. This place however has finally met its owner. -

Very good Korean place. Price is reasonable. I ordered #19 the seafood noodles, which is $12.99 and it's is a lot! The taste is authentic. It looks red but no worries not that spicy.;)

Halmae Noodle brings so many warm feelings to your tummy. This place has food perfect for cold, rainy weather as well as when you are feeling for something soupy. (And most definitely, a good place to get over your hangovers.) I was attracted by the nice, big yummy bowls of clam noodles yelpers were posting here so I had to stop in.
For the noodles soup with clams (#16 - Bajirak kalguksu), I was impressed on the quantity of clams given. The soup was light and clean but had enough of flavors from all the clams. The tri-color noodles were chewy and not overcooked, just the way I like them. Literally had to pack home half of the bowl as a second meal - what a bang for your buck.
The only down side of the meal was the sand you would encounter in many of your bites of the clams. My boyfriend was scarred by the sands so he stopped eating the clams. He had #10 which was noodles with many vegetable and fish cake - definitely much lighter than the clams noodles soup. We also tried the steam dumplings (#3 jjin mandu) which were great, especially with the semi-spicy sauce provided. -

My daughter's and friends came here to celebrate my 2nd oldest daughter's birthday. They were a bit busy when we came into the restaurant so they sat us at a table that seemed a bit small. Once the other people left they were kind enough to move us to a bigger table which we appreciated very much.
Fried dumpling: It tasted OK but I think it needs some kind of sauce to give it more flavor.
Seafood & Green Onion Pancake: It was crispy/crunchy just the way we like it. The sauce they gave us on the side gave it the right flavor. It is not soft like some other restaurants.
Dak Kalguksu: The noodles were cooked exactly the right way where it is not too hard or too soft. The chicken was not over cooked and was soft just the way it is supposed to be in noodle soups. This was very delicious and was the right choice for a first timer.
Overall: We were very satisfied with the customer service here and they deserved the tip that we gave them. The food is not fantastic and it is not bad; I would say this might be one of the places that I would try again since it was not that bad.
